Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does a home inspection take?
A: Most inspections take 2–4 hours depending on the size and age of the home. We take our time — no rushed walkthroughs. You're welcome to attend and ask questions throughout however we do recommend that you arrive 1.5 hours after we begin. This gives us time to work and then we can go over our findings with you near the end.
Q: Do you serve areas outside of Charlotte?
A: Yes! We serve the greater Charlotte metro including Concord, Kannapolis, Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, Matthews, Pineville, Monroe, and surrounding communities. Call or book online and we'll confirm your area.
Q: How soon can I get an inspection scheduled?
A: We're available 7 days a week and can typically schedule within 24–48 hours. We guarantee your inspection will be booked within 72 hours of your initial call.
Q: What's included in a standard home inspection?
A: We inspect the roof, foundation, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, windows, doors, and more — a full visual inspection of the home's major systems and components. You'll receive a detailed digital report with photos.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes. We hold a North Carolina Home Inspector license (#4213) and a General Contractor license (#85758). We're fully insured and carry E&O coverage for your protection.
Q: What makes New Charlotte Home Inspections different?
A: We back every inspection with a 200% satisfaction guarantee and a 120-day home warranty. We get your report to you same-day and with our Buyer Protection Policy we deduct $100 from a second inspection, if necessary. We also offer our clients the option to pay-at-close, relieving you of upfront costs and leaving you with more money available for things like moving!
Q: Can my realtor or I attend the inspection?
A: Absolutely — we encourage it. Walking through the home with the inspector gives buyers firsthand understanding of any issues found, which makes navigating repair negotiations much easier.
